Hello,
the pain therapy is a treatment for the pain (the symptom) and not the condition which is the disc bulging.
Regarding your situation, the anti inflammatory and muscle relaxant drugs may be helpful to release the spasm in our back, also physical therapy would help by strengthening your muscles.
The pain therapy you are going to have may be helpful for a period of time, but it is not the definite solution. i suggest that after the pain therapy you have regular physical exercises, to keep the muscles strong and prevent the bulging from progressing.
Best regards,
Anisa
